The circuit
The Circuito del Sele in Battipaglia was created in 1985 as the first permanent kart track in Campania (about 600 m), extended in the 1990s to 1,200 m and in 2009 to almost 2 km, with a long straight that allows speeds over 200 km/h. The official website lists three configurations: karting 1,345 m, motorcycles 1,700 m and cars 1,700 m, on a clockwise track with a tight hairpin and an esse in front of the grandstands. It hosts rounds of the ACI Karting Italian Championship, motorcycle and car races, open practice, driving courses and corporate events.
