The circuit
The La Conca kart track in Muro Leccese, opened in 1998 and extended to 1,250 m in 2001, is owned by the De Donno brothers (founders of WSK Promotion) and is one of the most decorated kart circuits in Italy: it has hosted five CIK-FIA World Championships and eleven European Championships. The high-grip track, 9-10 m wide with 14 corners, is flanked by a grandstand seating 3,500 and a large paddock with a camper area.
