The circuit
Services at Misano
Opened in 1972 as the Circuito Internazionale Santamonica, the track was named after Marco Simoncelli in 2012 and hosts the MotoGP San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix and World Superbike rounds. The layout, run clockwise since 2007 after the direction was reversed, is flat and technical with 10 right-hand and 6 left-hand corners. Run by Santa Monica S.p.A., it is one of the busiest circuits in Italy for open practice and motorcycle track days.
